Our members share a collective sense of responsibility to achieve SMV’s core objectives:
- Help communities across Greater Bristol to thrive by working collaboratively with others to improve the quality of life for everyone, particularly the young, aged and disadvantaged.
- Ensure that all children who attend SMV-supported schools have access to a high quality education, enabling them to acquire the knowledge and skills to succeed.
- Support social enterprise, commercial and community activities across the region to improve opportunities and remove barriers so that everyone is able to take part in creating a healthy, successful and inclusive society.
- Make wise, responsible and transparent decisions relating to the charitable trusts, heritage, ancient buildings and open spaces for which SMV is the steward or custodian.
