Andrew Brownsword is probably best known as a greeting card publisher, and for creating the globally successful Forever Friends brand. His business interests now incorporate hotels, farming and retail, and Andrew chairs Brownsword Hotels, The Bath Priory Group, Paxton and Whitfield, and Queensquare Farming, alongside two family charitable foundations.
He currently serves on two committees at SMV, the Heritage and Collections Committee and the Charity Sub-committee. The latter mirrors in many ways the objectives of his own family charitable foundation, which supports inclusivity and accessibility for the elderly, and many community and educational projects, with a particular focus on young people with physical and learning difficulties.
Andrew lives in Bath with his wife Christina, where, over many years, they have supported many major projects and good causes, including the Therapies Centre and Premature Babies unit at the Royal United Hospital, Bath Abbey, the Holburne Museum, Dorothy House and the Mission Theatre.
He has in the past also served on the Council of the University of Bath, where he is an Honorary Doctor of Arts, and was a member of the Prince’s Trust Business Board.
