Anita Kimber has forged her career in Financial Services, having worked globally across Asia Pacific, the US and Europe and having lived in Australia for many years. Her purpose and passion has been, and remains, to inject innovation into Financial Services, driving improvements for consumers and small businesses. She has worked at the intersection of technology and regulation as a Partner in EY and is proud to have played an active role in supporting the UK's growth as a global Fintech leader.

Since retirement from EY, Anita contributes to FinTech growth through her work with FinTech SouthWest, through her work with Fintech and professional services businesses looking to scale and she regularly judges FinTech awards locally and across the UK.

She is passionate about all aspects of inclusion in Financial Services and chairs Women in Banking and Finance across the South Wales and Southwest Region. Working with an amazing group of volunteers, they aim to connect women locally and support their career progression through events and mentoring.

Anita is a Trustee for the Chartered Institute of Arbitration (CIARB), an amazing global organisation that helps set the standards for arbitration and dispute resolution globally. Anita is supporting CIARB with strategic input to support their pivot on digitisation, competency and branding.

Anita is Bristolian born to a Bristolian father and Italian mother who came to Bristol aged 18 to learn English. Both her parents ran their own businesses and she loves the multicultural and entrepreneurial nature of the city. After a first degree in Southampton, her postgraduate qualification is in Strategy and Innovation from Oxford University. She is the proud holder of 3 passports and considers herself equally British, Italian and Australian.

She lives at home in Redland and is married to Laurence, a Maths Teacher at Collegiate School. She and Laurence are super proud (Great) Uncle and (Great) Aunty to many tens of nephews and nieces as well as multiple God Children scattered across the UK and the world and see this as one of their most important roles in their multi-faceted life.
