Chris Booy was Group Chairman of Symonds Group which was sold to Capita in 2004. He was then Chairman of Capita Real Estate & Infrastructure for a number of years, before finally retiring in 2020. Chris’ current community and charitable interests include Chairman of the Clifton Suspension Bridge Trust, Vice Chairman of the Bristol Zoological Society and Chairman of Bristol Bears Rugby Club. He was formally a Trustee of the SS Great Britain Trust.
As a passionate rugby supporter, he was one of six chairs of the Regional Activation and Legacy Groups formed to support the RFU in its aim to deliver a strong and effective legacy beyond the Rugby World Cup in 2015. He currently chairs the Professional Game Board.
Chris was, until recently, a governor at the University of the West of England and continues to offer his support as a member of the Wallscourt Foundation which is connected to the University.
