Clive Scott

Clive was born in Nottingham and moved to the South West after studying for a degree in Business Administration at the University of Bath. Apart from a spell in Canada as a Finance Director for TI Group plc, he has been based in the South West ever since and moved to Bristol in 2022.

For over 25 years, Clive has been an entrepreneur in the electronic components market. In that time he grew a Devon-based component manufacturer from a small subcontractor into a global leader in the aerospace market, supplying products onto most Boeing and Airbus platforms. This involved overcoming significant local skills shortages by developing the local workforce through extensive staff training programmes and apprenticeships. On this journey, Clive became a volunteer director of a regional company overseeing apprenticeships, Group Training and Development Ltd.

More recently, Clive has acquired and developed businesses involved in electronic component distribution in the United Kingdom, North America and Australia, and he still believes strongly in providing people with development opportunities to help them achieve their full potential.

Clive supports several organisations and charities which focus on support for young people with mental health issues, those who need help in escaping homelessness and those which support the arts. Clive is a Patron of the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol.

Clive is married to Rachel and has two grown-up sons
