Jonathon Baker

Jonathon Baker is the owner of a number of translation and interpreting agencies based in Bristol and across the UK, which work mainly in the professional sector. He has been involved in the acquisition of small and medium size business for the last 30 years, of which the translation sector is one he has stayed in the longest. Previous to this, he spent 15 years as a reinsurance broker in the City of London, where he started his own reinsurance business which he ran for a number of years.

He served on the board of Quartet Community Foundation (2016 - 2023), He has been a trustee of The Park Community Centre in Knowle, an important South Bristol hub offering opportunities for learning, business, support services and leisure for local people.

In 2016, Jonathon started a Community Beer and Cider Festival, which has now become a community cider making company and brings a source of revenue to rural communities through the sale of their own cider.

Jonathon has two sons, Archie and Bertie, who live and work in London and Paris respectively. He lives with his wife Melinda in Somerset.
