Mark is an experienced CEO in the Real Estate sector. He has been CEO of Landsec, the FTSE 100 listed property business, since 2020 and prior to that held the same role at St Modwen Properties plc between 2016 and 2020 and at Unite Students from 2006 to 2016. He is also a Past President of the British Property Federation (BPF) and a Board member of the European
Public Real Estate Association (EPRA).

Mark grew up in Bristol and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1994 before specialising in Corporate Finance and subsequently joining Unite Students, the Bristol-headquartered student accommodation specialist, in 1999 when it was in the very early stages of its significant growth.

Outside of his Real Estate career, Mark currently serves as an Independent Trustee at University of Bristol and was previously an Independent Trustee of Anchor Group, the UK’s largest specialist provider of housing and care for people in later life, from 2014 to 2019. He has also been an active charity fundraiser, raising over £150,000 for local charities through endeavours
such as several marathons and, in 2012, successfully skiing to the South Pole.

He has three adult children and lives in South Gloucestershire with his wife, Joanna.
