Students, staff and parents at Collegiate are celebrating today following an excellent set of exam results.
The vast majority of Collegiate Year 13s have secured the grades they need to access their next educational or professional step, having secured the necessary results to access their chosen university courses or degree-level apprenticeships.

Collegiate Head, Jeremy McCullough, said: “It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces collecting their results this morning. While it is important to remember that these wonderful young people are so much more than just a set of grades on an exam certificate, the headline figures make for very encouraging reading.”
The raw data is indeed very strong:
- 40% of A-level grades were awarded at A/A*
- 70% of A-level grades were awarded at A*/B
- 88% of CTEC and BTEC grades were awarded at Starred Distinction / Distinction (the equivalent of A*/A at A Level)
- 20 students (29% of the cohort) achieved the equivalent of AAA or better
- 87% of applicants secured their first or second choice university course or apprenticeship.
Mr McCullough continued: “Our students have worked very hard to earn fantastic results, and they have been brilliantly supported by their teachers and their parents.

“This cohort has contributed so much to the life of the school in so many different ways. Indeed, we firmly believe that the co-curricular engagement of our young people not only stands them in good stead for the future as they develop valuable personal qualities and life skills, it is also key to the success they have in their examinations. I am confident that they will all go on to be valuable and valued members of their communities.”
