Colston’s School has announced outstanding GCSE results, with 34% of students achieving grade 7 or better (equivalent to a grade A or above). 51% of grades awarded were 9 to 7 (equivalent to A* to A) and 97% of students achieved five or more grades 9 to 4, including maths and English.
Whilst students with a clutch of 7s, 8s and 9s were thrilled with their results, so too were those with fewer ‘top’ grades, who recognised that their hard work had resulted in the best grades they could have achieved, in many cases even better than expected.
Headmaster, Mr. Jeremy McCullough, said: “Exam results are really important and we are delighted with these impressive figures. However, at Colston’s our students learn that there is a great deal more to life than exam results. We are just as proud of their achievements in the arts and sport, or the fact that they do good deeds in their community, as we are with these impressive academic results. We look forward to welcoming the students back in September to begin their Sixth Form studies with us. Well done to all.”
